Quality & Compliance Specialist

Remote - Poland

Ledgebrook is a tech-enabled E&S MGA dedicated to the wholesale distribution channel. Our mission is to provide our wholesale brokers with the fastest, easiest quoting experience while delivering best-in-class pricing and risk selection. Ledgebrook’s guiding principle is to eliminate friction for both our wholesalers and our underwriters.

Our next-gen tech stack supports faster, risk-differentiated solutions to be crafted and delivered in response to the fast-paced needs of the E&S market. Our data-driven approach seeks to unlock more opportunities and value from every submission received, leading to a faster ‘yes’ more frequently, but may also lead to a quick ‘no’.

We are motivated and structured to move faster than traditional insurance organizations. To fully align business objectives with a long-term view that supports our culture and values, all employees will have the opportunity to participate in company ownership through equity grants. We aim to deliver a highly compelling overall employee value proposition and a total compensation package that couples equity grants with base pay and benefits offerings.

At Ledgebrook, as a unified team of company stewards, we will Care, Strive, and Thrive together!

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quality & Compliance Specialist to join our growing Operations Team. In this role, you’ll act as an internal investigator — diving deep into policy files, underwriting records, and operational workflows to ensure everything has been completed in accordance with Ledgebrook’s guidance, procedures, and compliance standards.

You will independently review bound accounts, identify gaps or inconsistencies, and validate that documentation, rating, and communication were handled correctly across all stages of the policy lifecycle. Your detective mindset, attention to detail, and ability to connect dots across our underwriting and reporting systems will help safeguard the integrity of our processes and improve quality across the organization.

This is a hands-on opportunity to shape our QA framework from the ground up, build audit methodology for the team, and directly contribute to our mission of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Audits & Investigations

  • Conduct regular and ad-hoc audits of policies, endorsements, renewals, and other operational workflows.
  • Review files to confirm all required steps, documents, and communications were completed per internal SOPs and underwriting guidelines.
  • Identify missing documentation, process deviations, and compliance risks; flag findings with clear, actionable feedback.
  • Perform root-cause analyses on recurring issues and collaborate with process owners to design corrective measures.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare structured QA reports summarizing audit results, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and verify the implementation of corrective actions to ensure audit findings are properly resolved and sustained over time.
  • Support creation and maintenance of QA dashboards, checklists, and audit trackers.
  • Recommend updates to operational procedures, training materials, or automation rules based on audit insights.

Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Work closely with Underwriting, Ops, Compliance, and Product teams to clarify audit expectations and raise process awareness.
  • Participate in workflow reviews and testing of new tools, ensuring they align with compliance and quality standards.
  • Provide mentorship and feedback to Operations team members on audit findings and best practices.

About You

Here at Ledgebrook, we’re passionate about building a team that thrives on learning, collaboration, and the excitement of building something from the ground up.

You bring:

  • A passion for delivering world-class service to both internal and external customers
  • Intellectual curiosity and a desire for innovation, rather than following the status quo
  • A hunger for continuous learning and personal growth
  • Agile prioritization skills and a sense of urgency - you balance getting it right with getting it done
  • A strong drive to win together as a high-performing team
  • A moral compass to “do the right thing, period.” We have zero tolerance for toxic behaviors
  • An eagerness to connect and collaborate across remote teams
  • Transparent, honest communication
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset - you focus on solving, not blaming

You are methodical, curious, and thrive on uncovering what others might miss. You have strong insurance or financial operations experience, ideally with prior exposure to internal audits, QA, or compliance reviews. You combine analytical precision with a practical mindset — not just identifying issues, but helping the team fix and prevent them.

Must-Haves

  • 2–4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Audit, or Compliance within the insurance, financial, or shared-services industry.
  • Solid understanding of policy lifecycle processes — from submission and binding to audit and renewal.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret underwriting and operational documentation.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
  • Experience preparing audit reports and presenting findings to cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort working with tools such as Salesforce, policy admin systems (e.g. Socotra), and shared drives / document management platforms.
  • High degree of ownership, discretion, and integrity.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Prior experience in E&S or commercial insurance operations.
  • Exposure to internal controls, regulatory reporting, or data validation.
  • Familiarity with automation testing or QA tracking tools (e.g., Power BI, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Continuous improvement mindset — Lean, Six Sigma, or process-mapping background.
